Yes. Years ago, no one anticipated inventions like an electronic card shuffler built into the table (or cameras, for that matter). But now those shuffling gizmos are everywhere. So expect the automated tables to start up more and more, too.
Now, is that a good thing? Not necessarily.
Dealers are vital to the game, I believe, because the good ones move the action along. Automated tables also eliminate the need for actual chips, which can provide a huge tell based on how your opponent handles them. And what if there's a blackout when you have the nuts?
But most importantly, who are you going to yell at when the cards don't go your way?
